White Tail is a Christmas tree farm, bed and breakfast, and event venue in Springport, Indiana. They offer fresh Christmas trees during the holiday season, but offer many other activities all year long. In fall, they have a pumpkin patch and corn mazes for children, and all year long they have a beautiful location to host a wedding or other large party.
White Tail Tree Farm had recently been transferred to new owners who were looking to freshen up their brand image and improve marketing efforts. They had some website materials from the previous owners, but wanted to expand their web presence to show off more of their offerings. They also had some ideas about a new logo, and creating some printed materials to increase awareness of their field trip offerings.
The new owners at White Tail wanted a logo that would do a better job of conveying their brand. They had some ideas and sketches of what kind of logo they were interested in. We took these sketches and worked with them through a series of concepts and revisions until we arrived at the perfect blend of country charm. After the logo was completed, we began work on a concept for their website. Initially, we gathered their ideas about what kind of things they wanted to display on the site, along with photos they had taken of the farm during various seasons. Through their answers on nHarmony's design questionnaire, and feedback we recieved from them on concepts, a web design composed of natural greens and warm browns was born. This design illustrates their main offering, which is Christmas trees, but also highlights their other services on the homepage and throughout other pages in the navigation system.
They had many good photographs of the farm which we incorporated into slideshows on several of the pages, and also in some of their printed materials. To improve the marketing of their fall field trip offerings, we designed a printed flyer and gave them a pdf file so they could have it printed wherever they chose. We also began keyword research for their internet marketing efforts, and arrived at a list of target keywords to help them show up for appropirate searches. Their traffic has increased each season over the last two years, and is on track to be even higher this year.
