Company Overview:


Dr. Tom Clark has practiced dentistry in Muncie, Indiana for over 20 years. He’s a member of the American Dental Association, East Central Indiana Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Indiana Dental Association.

 

His dental practice, Thomas Clark Family Dentistry, provides dental services that range from routine checkups to advanced procedures like cosmetic veneers, crowns, bridgework, root canals, and oral surgery.

 

 

Challenge:


Being in close proximity to Ball State University, many “potential customers” were turning to Internet Yellow Pages and search engines when looking for local services. Dr. Clark wanted a professional web presence that could be found easily, was both informative and welcoming to potential customers, and assisted his office staff by allowing certain customer service oriented tasks to be done online.

 

 

Solution:


We began by creating a visitor-friendly web design that introduced Dr. Clark, his office and dental staff, and the various dental services that Thomas Clark Family Dentistry offered. Many of the services were then linked to a comprehensive “Common Dental Questions” page containing further explanations of different dental procedures. By providing a personal touch to the website, our goal was to help first-time clients feel more at ease on their stereotypically uncomfortable trip to the dentist.

 

Upon completion of the website, we submitted a detailed business profile to all of the major local search directories, Internet Yellow Pages, and industry-specific vertical search engines. We also implemented a Local Search Engine Optimization campaign in the major search engines for primary search terms (dentist, dentists, etc.) and secondary search terms (bridgework, root canals, tooth fillings, etc.)

 

 

Results:


Within a few weeks of submission, Thomas Clark Family Dentistry had attained first page results in all the major search engines for both their primary and secondary search terms. For example, the website was ranked #1 in Google for “Muncie dentists” and “Muncie dentistry.”

 

The combination of these excellent rankings plus local search directory ads is leading hundreds of visitors each month to the website, and the number is climbing. Over 85% of the total traffic to the website is generated by the major search engines alone. Of these visitors, many are specifically searching for a “dentist in Muncie Indiana,” indicating they are probably shopping for a new dentist.  Dr Clark and his staff have been very clear: They website has brought them a substantial number of new, good clients.
