DR. DARRELL BUTLER

The President of nHarmony, is originally from California. He attended South Gate High School in Los Angeles and later the University of California, where he obtained his B.S. He earned his PhD at IU Bloomington in 1981.

He joined the faculty at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and in 1997 was awarded Ball State University's highest faculty award, the Outstanding Faculty Award. He has numerous technology publications, including unique uses of websites and website usability and assessment, and has worked as a consultant for businesses in Indiana and many other states.

In the summer of 2001, Dr. Butler started writing nHarmony's business plan. Over the year, he worked with the others in the nHarmony team and consultants in the area, which led to launching the company in May 2002.

Along with strategic planning, he manages projects, oversees sales, is involved in training, and takes the lead in website usability analyses. He assists others on the team with photography; filming video; editing images, video and text; research, programming, and problem solving.
